Terms of Service for Bolo

These Terms of Service ('Terms') are a binding agreement between you and Bolo ('we', 'us', or 'our') that govern your access to and use of our services ('Services'), including when you:

  • • Visit our website or any website of ours that links to these Terms of Service
  • • Use Bolo. Watch your favourite Bollywood clips. No more boring textbook-style lessons.
  • • Engage with us in other related ways, including any marketing or events

1. ACCESS TO THE SERVICES

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Account Registration

To access certain features of our Services, you may need to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.

License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Bolo for your personal, non-commercial use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you violate these Terms.

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, interfering with their normal operation, or using them for any unlawful purpose.

2. YOUTUBE CONTENT

Bolo integrates content from YouTube as part of its language learning experience. We want to be explicitly clear about the following:

  • By using Bolo's YouTube-related features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
  • All videos are hosted on YouTube and belong to their respective creators. Bolo does not claim ownership of any YouTube content displayed through our Service.
  • All YouTube content in Bolo is displayed using YouTube's official embedded player, in compliance with YouTube's Terms of Service and embedded player requirements. We maintain the standard YouTube player functionality and branding as required by YouTube's terms.
  • Bolo does not charge for or sell access to YouTube videos. Our subscription fees are exclusively for Bolo's premium language learning features, which include but are not limited to one-click word translations, structured lessons, vocabulary flashcards, and progress tracking. The YouTube content remains freely accessible, and our premium features are designed to enhance the learning experience around this content.

3. USER DATA AND PRIVACY

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of your information as set out there.

4. NON-PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION

We may use cookies to collect non-personal information about users interactions with the Service.

5. FEES, BILLING & REFUNDS

Fees and Billing

Access to Bolo is made available in exchange for a one-time, lifetime-access fee, processed securely through Stripe. This is a single payment, not a recurring subscription — once paid, you will not be charged again for continued access. By providing payment details, you authorize us to charge the applicable fee to your chosen payment method.

Pre-orders and Refunds

If you pre-order the Services before launch, you may request a full refund, no questions asked, at any time from the moment you pre-order up until 14 days after launch. Refund requests made after this period will not be honored, except where required by applicable law. To request a refund, contact us at aryan@aryangohil.com with the email address you used at checkout, so we can locate your payment. Because access is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, there are no future charges to cancel — once the refund period has passed, the purchase is final.

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.

6. DISCLAIMERS

The Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Language learning results may vary.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bolo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

9. UPDATES TO THIS TERMS OF SERVICE

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised 'Last Updated' date at the top of this Terms of Service document, and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this Terms of Service, we may notify you via email or by posting a notice on our website.
